Dream Trail Races
Two scenic races set in the surrounding beauty of Sutton Manor and including thrilling climbs past the iconic Dream statue.
The 5km Dream Trail Challenge will be a great introduction to novice trail runners and the 10km Dream Trail Race will test more experienced runners, although for a few people even this isn’t hard enough and they enter both races!
See yourself from a different angle – we’ve arranged for acclaimed local drone potographer Steve Samosa to shot the race from the sky. All the photos we take will again be free to the runners.
The parkland now surrounding the Dream statue was previously the site of the Sutton Manor coillery. The site was first mined in 1906 and finally closed in 1991, with the site flattened 25 years ago.
To mark that event this year’s medal design takes it’s inspiration from the badge of the Sutton Manor branch.
We aim to keep costs low and even after our early bird entries closed the fee is still only 12 pounds (for EA affiliated runners, 14 otherwise). We provide a snack & drink at the finish, along with water on course for the 10k. Our runners told us they prefer a simple, low cost race as an alternative to the latest series of tough events costing anywhere up to 90 pounds.
